In 2013, career restaurateur Branden McRill brought in financial expert Mike Marian as CFO to help drive profitability at his restaurant, Rebelle. Together, they built financial and operating models to tackle challenges familiar to any operator - small margins, disconnected data, and limited time to review reports. Those early spreadsheets, created to increase financial visibility and improve day-to-day operations, became the blueprint for 5-Out.
